Founded by Audrey Getman in 2013, Tuckered Pup Pet Services began with a mission to deliver quality, dependable pet care in the greater Asheville area. Tuckered Pup quickly became an integral member of the Asheville Area Professional Pet Sitters Association (AAPPSA) and the business took off! Audrey soon realized she would need some help and her husband, Matt Getman, happily joined the business. Together, we have been fulfilling Tuckered Pup’s mission every day for the last 13 years.
In that time, we have had countless wonderful relationships with the people who have trusted us to care for their beloved pets. It has truly been beyond our wildest dreams! And so we look forward to the next 13 years and beyond at Tuckered Pup Pet Services –Where We Love Your Pets Like You Love Your Pets!
About Matt
Originally from Massachusetts, Matt spent his entire life in the northeast pursuing his music education and doing many odd jobs to make a living. After living in Vermont for some years, he decided he needed a change. Asheville, NC offered a vibrant music scene, interesting people and beautiful mountains which certainly appealed to the flatlander. After one quick visit he fell in love with these mountains and the amazing city they surrounded.
Matt moved to Asheville in February 2010 and several months later he met the love of his life, Audrey. They have been inseparable ever since and the couple married in 2014. Soon after the honeymoon, Matt joined Audrey’s company, Tuckered Pup Pet Services. He had always had a dog growing up and had prior experience sitting for other people’s pets. Soon after joining, it became clear that this was Matt’s true calling.
He and Audrey had a rescue dog, Farley, who they had just boarded while on their honeymoon. It was extremely hard to leave Farley and even harder being away and not knowing how he was doing. He realized then how important it was to have peace of mind when you’re away from your pets and he knew he and Audrey could offer that peace of mind.
With that, Tuckered Pup Pet Services took off and we’ve had 13 wonderful years! And we are just as excited for the next 10 years and beyond at Tuckered Pup Pet Services – Where We Love Your Pets Like You Love Your Pets!
About Audrey
Audrey is an Asheville local. She and her siblings always had pets growing up. Everything from dogs, a cat, hamsters, fish, and mice. Audrey was always the one who helped pet sit for neighbors when they went out of town. After graduating from Western Carolina University and spending over 10 years in banking, Audrey knew it was time to go out on her own and tap into her talent and experience caring for animals. With that, Tuckered Pup was born!
Audrey is Tuckered Pup’s cat sitter extraordinaire- a true cat whisperer! She also manages our bookkeeping, and website, serves in a support capacity with our midday dog walks and helps with Live-In pet sitting bookings as well. As if that weren’t enough, Audrey is also Tuckered Pup’s website designer and professional which we probably don’t need to tell you is a pretty valuable thing to be!
She enjoys working in the office, visiting, and giving extra special care to all of Tuckered Pup’s clients. She also enjoys cooking and meal prepping all of our food. She loves to listen to music and kitchen dance as she cooks. She enjoys ensuring that everything behind the scenes is running efficiently to serve our clients, furry and human alike.
